The United States does not adhere to or recognize the authority of the International Criminal Court (ICC). In fact, the U.S. government is actively and aggressively opposed to it.
The “Hague Invasion Act”: Formally known as the American Servicemembers’ Protection Act of 2002, this federal law explicitly prohibits any U.S. government agency or local authority from assisting or funding the ICC. It even authorizes the President to use “all means necessary” (including military force) to free any American detained by the ICC.
He should go back to Uganda and try something there.
