Agreed. And with both the fog of war, and war propaganda, we have no idea what the real numbers of people killed in Gaza are. But we can use proxies as measurements.

Question: How many Gazans/Hamas or whatever they call themselves have been killed since Oct 7, 2023?
Answer: Not enough to make them surrender.

Question: How many Japanese were killed after Dec 7, 1941 from the U.S. doing island hopping and conventional bombing of mainland Japan?
Answer: Not enough to make Japan surrender.

Question: How many Japanese were killed by all of that plus the first atom bomb?
Answer: Not enough to make Japan surrender.

Question: How many Japanese were killed by all of that plus the second atom bomb?
Answer: Enough to make Japan surrender.

Thus, the bombing of Japan stopped. And Japan has been a peaceful country for 80 years because of it. The Gazans evidently haven't learned that yet.
