I agree completely with your statement #2. State Farm screwed us over after years of loyalty. Went Geico. They were very efficient up to a point with one issue, but now I’m skeptical there, too.

Someone on FR once said you should change car insurers every five years or so. I can’t vouch for the validity of that proposal, but I do think the days of getting any kind of points for being a longtime or loyal customer are over, for regular consumer products and services.

Yeah, it’s almost like their attitude is NOT, “Oh he’s a loyal customer, let’s give him a little break on the rules/policy.” Instead it’s more like, “Oh, he’s still with us? Not very savvy shopper, let’s f... him over.”
