They are really NOT warehouse scale items. COSTCO has moved more to families while Sam’s club still aims for business more than Costco.
We are a retired couple with average needs. We find most of their packaging satisfactory. Nothing goes to waste. It only takes a few minutes to break down the meat packages, vacuum seal and freeze. And some come already sealed partitioned into reasonable portions where all you have to do is cut off a section.
I had rather pay $8 something for two pounds of cheese than $6 for eight ounces.
Of course we keep the refrigerator and freezer in the garage full.
True, small individual packages aren’t there but they work for us so definitely would work for a family.
