I’m wondering about another way to approach this problem. How about a loud signal of some sort that could be set off the moment the restaurant recognizes that the bill wasn’t paid. That way, the rest of all the patrons would recognize this little caper had just taken place. Maybe even have a gated area for parking if the theft (that’s what it is)could be caught later, but just before they all pulled out. Of course, the last guy out is going to be the “payee” unless he turns the tables on the real criminal.
