Considering he Pearl Harbored their political leadership, threatened to annihilate their nation, along with other incredibly hostile actions and threats, I seriously doubt most Iranians care about phony claims of restraint.
Indeed. And full credit to him for that. He knows the rank and file are just cannon fodder for the regime much like the young protestors. They are just regular people with families. He doesn't want this turning into a Russia/Ukraine thing. Kill their top leadership. Level their military instructure. Take over their oil. Sounds good enough to me.
