I got to go to Wrigley before the lights. 34K is a SMALL stadium. Boston is a Red Sox town. I have to explain to many that even with Brady and the championships, Boston will always be baseball first. Before Brady, The Red Sox and Celtics had more interest from the Boston folks. I am still not sure that for the olde-timers, that Doug Flutie is a bigger hero than Tom Brady.
As one raised in Connecticut, I always resented that the Pats claimed all of New England for themselves, especially since (at the time) there were FAR more New York Football Giants fans in most of Connecticut, even though the Giants stunk. (For the record, I didn't like the WHA/NHL Whalers claiming New England either, and was glad when they changed their name to Hartford Whalers).

Boston has changed now to in order Pats, Sox, Celtics, Bruins.
I listen to 96.5 The Sports Hub(Pats)and 93.7 WEEI Home of the Red Sox driving to and from work. WEEI has the biggest morning drive time audience. The Sports Hub has the big 3-6 afternoon show.
They talk about the Pats even when it is NOT NFL season. There has not been a lot of baseball talk until the last week. They are going for 15 in a row today against the O’s.
Which will try the record. They were in last place two weeks ago. Now they are 5 games back on the Yankees for the Wildcard.
There has been a lot of Jaylen Brown Celtics talk since the trade.
The worst thing about Boston Sports radio is that they totally ignore College Football and College Basketball.
When the mens NCAA tournament is going on they do not even mention it. Like it doesn’t exist.
