Hochul and Mamdani both believe they are above federal law. They are not.
As far as ICE agents and masks:

New York needs to get a ruling on that quickly - and get those body cameras out as well. Homan says they got the $$ for the cameras for ICE agents after reconciliation in the budget - but the cameras are just now being rolled out now.
I would send National Guard troops with them - along with their own documentary film crew to preempt the inevitable attempts the left and NYC radical Islamic and Communist mayor will make to characterize this is as a human rights violation and military action on citizens.
