I like that idea. There are way too many of our Vets who never quite managed to reconnect with the civilian society, for one reason or another. Some may have been, what I call ‘picky eaters’, meaning yes, decent jobs were available when they were discharged, but not quite good enough to take a chance and take that job.
Sometimes, you have to (temporarily) settle for Option B. or C. just to keep the bills paid and afford yourself an acceptable standard of living. Even moreso for the Vets who are married and/or raising children. Sometimes you settle, just to stay in motion, not turning into a Sphinx, ‘blinded to it’s surroundings, and in the posture of eternal waiting.
