not so fast. If she shot him under her daughter’s bed, I think the castle doctrine could apply. It doesn’t say anything about mode of entry, it says commission of a felony. I think statutory rape is still a felony, even in Memphis. Shooting him in the front yard just speaks to her lack of mental control. Crime of passion.
