Yes. It is similar to the drive for Empire by Alexander the Great. The left wants power over other men, claims the wisdom to “make things better”. Progressivism in the USA makes the same claims.
Interesting article-very. The majority of Americans support deportation and the activists as well as states and cities are getting in the way. Add to it the foothold the socialists now have here it will only expand. The squad got bigger after Cory Bush lost. We’ll see if she makes it back.
Too many mainstream democrats don’t see it coming and the rest of us are doing our part. Women are not having kids. Internationally too. Does it suggest the wealthier nations make the wealth gap offensive to where socialism is the answer?
Anyone who wants to and thinks it's OK to subvert the individuality and freedom of others in order to fulfill their narcissistic need to be above everyone else is a dangerous person who cannot be trusted and should never be allowed to have any position of authority. If they persist in that pursuit they should be incarcerated and/or permanently excluded from holding any government position.
The globo-fascists have been at this actively for over a century. The Spanish Civil War was the test run. To quote George Orwell, whose first book, Homage to Catalonia, was an account of his experience on the ground in that war, offers this summary statement published in 1933:

Between the Communists and those who claim to stand to the Left of them there is a real difference. The Communists hold that Fascism can be beaten by alliance with sections of the capitalist class (the Popular Front); their opponents hold that this maneuver simply gives Fascism new breeding-grounds. The question has got to be settled; to make the wrong decision may be to land ourselves in for centuries of semi-slavery.
