Every vehicle I have ever registered I had to provide clear title of ownership (w or w/o liens) and then I had to prove that I was who I said I was. Where is this anonymous registration jurisdiction? Is this a one and done registration without yearly renewals. For some of US that would be a real money saver.

Neither can I. How is this possible? Every vehicle is registered to someone, and you have to show id.

I watch a tow truck guy* on YouTube.

He says some of these foreigners have CDLs with one name and No Known Name , NKN , as the last name..

FWIW, he’s based in Arizona , He did not say what states were doing this.

When I renewed my license, a woman walked in with an illegal. She had an armful of files and binders ... and a briefcase.

He never said a word at the counter with her. The woman did all the talking and when they were finished she walked out with him.

I never saw that he was tested or did the hearing, vision and photo thing everyone else does.

The only reasoning I can come up with is that the vehicle was registered to some nefarious LLC. Or stolen.

If it’s registered….the person is known. That is unless DMV recognizes fence posts nowadays.
