Many nurses at my hospital live where it is cheaper (out of state or cheaper in state). They group their shifts together. Stay in RVs or a room for the time they are here, then go back home. Pay is not as good as here.
I forgot to add that these nurses are not travel nurses (contractors). They are employees.
