The inability of so many conservatives to understand a basic fact that networks do not have licenses that are subject to the FCC never ceases to amaze me. Some of the networks have corporately owned individual broadcast stations that are each individually licensed by the FCC but there is no such license for the networks. This is constantly pointed out in this forum by many different posters yet this “take their license” cry abounds through the comments every time.

Come on, conservatives - we’re supposed to be the better informed portion of the body politic. Live up to the image!

You are being pedantic, yes local stations hold the broadcast license but the FCC still regulates the national networks to ensure they operate in the public interest.

The refrain pull the license is more a generic cry to hold them accountable to the public interest.

But I suspect your point was more to misdirect the conversation anyway instead of address the issue the networks are operating outside the public intererst.

They have “o&os” in NYC, LA, and Chicago- and a number of other large cities that operate under FCC rules
