Camera angles? A serious discussion would start with the way female athletes dress. I doubt that this problem arises with female ice hockey players.
Soccer and track are both running sports. Players in both sports are highly fit. Soccer players, however, don’t dress like so many of the sprinters are now choosing to do.
There is no reason that female gymnasts, figure skaters, tennis players, etc. have to dress in skimpy outfits. That’s a deliberate choice. Some of it is driven by a pop culture of vulgarity. In some sports, maybe especially track, some of the men are dressing like underwear models as well. But the vulgarity in big time sports is also driven by money. The paparazzi were bad enough. The whole online influencer/clickbait economy monetizes the trend.
Maybe the female gymnasts should switch back to old fashioned gym shorts and baggy tee shirts. Maybe the men should as well. Swimmers and speed skaters dress aerodynamically. I’m not sure the functional calculus applies elsewhere.
Heck, start with the cheerleaders and halftime shows.
I know, I know ... no one would watch NFL games without semi nude cheerleaders and sexualized halftime shows. Let’s blame it on tv.

My thought exactly. Who decides on the uniforms?
