if these are anything like the other SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL commemorative $1 coins, they’re clad, presumably with a thin layer of gold, though that’s actually not clear ...Of course it's not clear! Why would they want to be clear about that?! It would only hurt sales!
It's composed of non-precious metals, but will have a "gold-like finish," the spokesperson said.
