Abolition of the family is a primary communist goal. And the KGB did not vanish, but took another name. Stalin was also against homosexuality, even though it was Lenin who instituted it in the USSR.
And yet so far as I know no Communist country (with the exception of "Democratic Kampuchea" under the Khmer Rouge) actually got around to doing it.
