Recycling is a feel good scam.

I worked on a clean up crew at one of the local venues. They had gray cans for general trash and blue for recycling.

Down in the bowels of the venue there is a trash compactor attached to a big dumpster . All trash went in there recyclables and all.

Yep, as a general rule recyclables and regular trash all end up in the same place.

The cost of sorting is too high and it does not produce a usable product when it is done.
