THERE IS A SUB+SPECIES OF RATTLESNAKE CALLED “THE MOJAVE GREEN.”
IT IS VERY AGGRESSIVE & IT WILL COME AFTER YOU.
RIDING NEAR LAKE HUGHES MANY YEARS AGO WITH A FRIEND ON WIDE FIRE ROAD. STARTED DOWNHILL-—OTHER RIDER SAID, TURN AROUND & WE WILL GO ANOTHER DIRECTION...
THE SNAKE WAS COMING UP THE HILL AT US AT A VERY RAPID RATE-—WE WENT A DIFFERENT TRAIL
NOT SMALL & VERY AGGRESSIVE.......
That’s all I need, a pissed-off poisonous snake coming after me..
I grew up in the Antelope Valley and know this snake well!
My buddy and I would wander the desert behind out house and were always on the watch for those guy’s. If we caught one we’d get $50 bucks for it.
Big and fast!
Interesting, I just did a search on the Mojave Green rattlesnake and it says not aggressive.
