“that if he meant total aluminum he is full of crap”
And there is no indication in the video this “IS” what he meant. You Assumed this on your own and ran with it... As for grams there are two measurements. If you had read the PDF link I shared it explains this.
“Exchangeable Al, ppm” and “Exchangeable Al, meq/100 g”. Milliequivalent per “100 Grams”.
And I repeatedly said, “giving him the benefit of the doubt,” and talk about bioavailable aluminum in that vain - going ALL THE WAY BACK TO POST #2. The discussion of total aluminum BECAUSE HE DIDN”T MAKE CLEAR what he meant was a separate thread and PLENTY of people here (including you) jumped on the “they’ve been spraying for years, I believe it,” bandwagon and the REAL numbers behind that claim had to be laid out.
You are correct in FINALLY distinguishing between TOTAL and BIOAVAILABLE aluminum - WHICH I DID FROM POST #2 - and because I did it ALL THE WAY BACK IN POST #2 your claim that I didn’t understand this or am not talking about that or am only just not finally talk about that is simply proven wrong.
It simply DOESN’T matter how much total aluminum he has in his soil - if his *bioavailable* aluminum is too high it’s because he let his pH get too low and has NOTHING to do with spraying. And a geologist should know that.
Parts per million or similar means something. But also only if you add by weight, by volume, by mole, or by equivalent. But that is not what you said.
“parts per gram” mean NOTHING.
Alternatively. % means something, but again, only if you say my weight, or volume, or mole, or equivalent. Which I said BY WEIGHT right up in the beginning.
What I said is scientifically meaningful. You, trying to act like you knew more than me, spit out a meaningless description of a measurement and said, “that’s how it’s measured.” Did you make a mistake? If so, own it.
