The very end was fantastic. Watching those people in military uniforms singing rock ‘n’ roll I must say was embarrassing. The weather- the ‘opening’ window that allowed the celebration to go on reminded me of that 4 hour window our troops’s had at Normandy. Those workers that did the fireworks. You couldn’t pay me enough to do that job. On one occasion in the 80’s one of those barges started blowing up. It was in Kobe, Japan. The newsreels showed all of those fellas jumping off into the water like it was the USS Lexington.

To each his own.
I bet if they weren’t in their uniforms, you’d have thought the performances were great. I thought they were awesome! Made me even prouder of our military than I already am!
Plus, I think it was a great recruiting tool. YMMV.
Embarrassing?
OMG, what were you watching?
That guitar player doing Guns N Rose’s was great. The lead belted out Sweet Child of Mine wonderfully.
Sign, Sealed, Delivered was awesome.
We loved it all.
