I notice that article didn’t mention the SPLC has been caught paying “real nazis” to perform, in order to frighten SPLC’s supporters into ponying up even more donations in the mistaken belief that it will be used to “fight” the “real nazis.” This puts any article that cites the SPLC as an info source into the probable misinformation category.

You put real nazis in quotes, but that is what the SLPC was doing, paying real nazis. That’s what makes SLPC so evil.
