Here's a strange 4th story: Out of the blue this morning I came across a picture I had taken with my phone of a page in a family ancestry book that my mother had. This had to have been after my parents passed and we were going through the house. Anyway... Right at the top of the page is the name of one of my ancestors Born raised and died in Keene NH (I had no idea there was a family connection to Keene NH) and the notation: Private in Revolutionary War 1776-1777.
That's a heck of a thing to find on today of all days!

Im watching the replay of this HUGE Independence Day Fireworks display going on for 40 minutes. Spectacular. It struck me that the US Air Force rock band played through the whole thing. So what was missing? The self important preening of the ‘stars’ who could have been there but were too consumed by partisan hate and self interest.
Thank heavens they were not there. Because the display was about America and Americans celebrating 250 years of independence as a constitutional republic. Even under assault by communists and democrats (but i repeat myself) it is strong, resilient and i have high hopes for another 250 years. We are so fortunate that we were born in this amazing country at this amazing time. We were here... We lived it... This is Camelot.
