This book is one of many, many that I have on my list to be recorded as an audio book.

It will be amazing when its done though.

In a certain way Jefferson was almost saying the British might have avoided the colonies revolt if each of the colonies elected its own representatives to the British parliament and if their local representative bodies had as much power - as opposed to the crown’s appointed governor - as the British parliament had with respect to the crown.

It would make an interesting novel, imagining a British parliament that eventually was dominated by representatives from its colonies - hmmmm, sounds kinda like what is happening to the U.K. now.
