“ STD capital of the country in the Villages.”
This rumor is so ridiculous. One person many years ago, based on one visit, wrote an article claiming that and this fake news story has lasted forever. The lifestyle in The Villages is incredibly active and healthy. People are very busy playing pickle ball, tennis, water volleyball, water aerobics, swimming, shuffleboard, bocce ball, beanbag baseball, softball, etc.
There are more than 3500 resident run organizations including many supporting veterans. The Villages has the highest percentage of veterans of any community over 100,000 in the USA.
The entire community of about 175,000 people closes up about 9 PM.
Well then where is the STD capital of the country? This is important. Never mind. I’ve got to stop saying stuff on the internet.
