Caitlin Clark has been urged to leave the WNBA behind after she was the victim of another sickening act of on-court violence.
The Indiana Fever superstar, who has transformed the fortunes of the WNBA since entering the league in 2024, appeared to be punched in the throat by Alyssa Thomas of the Phoenix Mercury.
It is the latest example of Clark falling victim to rough treatment from rivals, which also marred her rookie season in 2024.
But the WNBA continues to overlook the physicality imposed on Clark and referees didn't even bother to call a foul for the incident involving Thomas.
That has prompted Boomer Esiason, the 1988 NFL MVP who now works as a New York sports radio host, to tell Clark to quit the WNBA for good.
He said on Thursday morning: 'If I were Caitlin Clark, I would seriously consider going to play overseas somewhere and get the royal treatment and get real money.

Honestly, the first person I’d deck in this situation is the ref.
Clark should go to Europe or an exhibition league and take her advertising dollars with her. The rest of those thuggish bigots can go back to fighting eachother over the exit row on Jet Blue flights.
Boomer is right. One of these days Clark will receive a career-ending injury. Then the WNBA will issue a weak statement of regret. So sorry.
It’s not an easy decision. But get out Caitlin, while you still can. Find a nice league elsewhere to play.

Men will brawl and guys will break it up, but there is no systemic targeting of just one man in the nba, like what is going on here with Clark in the wnba. Part of it is shes white and good, plus shes married and not a lesbian like most of the wnba women are.
Revenue is another. They are basically a high-end welfare program for black girls.
She should abandon the WNBA, but she won’t. She is the victim of her own “suicidal empathy” (hat tip to Gad Saad) and her sense of “white guilt”. Sports leagues usually protect their ‘golden geese’, but I guess the WNBA doesn’t operate in the same manner, probably because they are subsidized by the NBA and won’t be allowed to fail financially even if Clark left.
Michael Jordan and Larry Bird had to pay their dues before they were allowed to play in the league.

This is a perfect illustration that shows women are far less tolerant than men are. Everything is personal and emotional and they feel justified doing this to her. And the women there running things either agree or are too weak and scared to hammer down on those pulling this crap.

The nba pays them to play. 50 million down the crapper every year. If the men didnt give them 50 million a year the wnba would fold. Their own empowered girls dont buy tickets and watch. There are no asses in the seats, it tells you what they’re worth.

The NBA is subsizing the WNBA so Adam Silver should be taking control.
Otherwise, they should sell their share of the WNBA.

Every time something like this happens, it’s money in the bank for the WNBA. The games are so boring they need to gin up racial crap to get fans invested.
I cannot imagine Larry Bird or Dennis Rodman putting up with that crap; someone’s teeth would be on the floor before the game was over.
It’s as ridiculous as the UFC women fighting.
Sell it? They own it. And no one would buy it. The wnba basically is a $50-million tax write-off for the nba every year. I mean would they rather it made money, sure. But its the biggest nba charity donation they make every year.
