This is one of the reasons I never took up Pickleball when it was a fad. It’s more dangerous than playing with iron horseshoes. LOL!

We called them "Jarts" and played a game with them ... the Roman Legions sharpened them and called them "plumbata" and threw them at the barbarians ...

I would not call it a “fad.” There are over three million players in the USA, it is great exercise, and can be played by people in their nineties.
