The Covid virus itself is a “positive-strand RNA virus”.
Positive-strand RNA is the same substance as mRNA.
Negative-strand RNA is a mirror image of mRNA.
The natural immunity that you get from a Covid infection comes courtesy of viral mRNA.
The vaccine mRNA tells your cell to make the spike protein. The viral mRNA tells your cell to make the complete virus, which includes instructions to make an endless amount of them.
I have yet to see the “mRNA jab will kill us” crowd explain how vaccine mRNA is deadly, but the same molecule in the virus is no big deal.
It’s a mystery.
Never try to present facts and reason to conspiracy theorists. Most of those jokers don't even know what RNA is and what it does, nor do they want to know. Some of the ones I've talked to seem to think that injecting someone with RNA that gets translated into a protein is somehow re-engineering the genes of the patient. The rest don't have a first clue about what RNA is other than repeating RFK Jr's talking points about it.
There are legitimate concerns about releasing poorly vetted and under-tested medications, including the Covid vaccine, for general use, particularly when political pressure is involved. But a blanket ban on an entire class of vaccines - i.e. RNA based vaccines that unlike conventional ones, are easily "edited" and updated for new variants - is driven by pure ignorance.
It doesn't help that the director of Health and Human Services (or perhaps the tapeworm in his brain) has trouble with the concept of cause, effect, and correlation.
