The site was likely used as a granary, for plant processing, and, later, as a burial ground by the ancient Canarians, a people of Amazigh, or Berber, origin
That would make them Gerber Berbers.
At least we now know where their general mills were.
They died out due to a widespread canarial disease called chirpes. It was untweetable.
