Yes, China ‘could’ have released COVID to “(1) stop Trump and (2) kill old people to stop spending money on them for their grift.”, but that is very unlikely since (1) that would be very risky strategy, (2) with limited chances of success, and (3) a payoff not worth the risk. It’s far more likely that the release was accidental.
