Thinking that AI will look in five years, like it does today, is like thinking that airplanes will continue to look like the planes the Wright Brothers flew. We are still in the “barnstorming phase”.
My goal starting this thread was to share a video that shared knowledge that I thought people would or should have an interest in. Of course, because this is an area that I have spent a great deal of time experimenting with and increasing my knowledge of I already was aware of most of what was discussed in the video.
But it is obvious that I should not have bothered. I am not sure that even one person watched the video or even read through the summary that I provided. And people with points of view that contradict the actual facts had no desire to improve their perspective.
I know that you and I have disagreed on some subjects in the past and I would have to say you tend to behave in a more gentlemanly way than I do. This used to be a place where people with technical experience could argue about technical subjects with at least a minimal amount of understanding evident. I miss people such as Swordmaker who used to be a worthy opponent and many others. I wanted to assure you and others that Swordmaker is still alive; he just got tired of the situation.
