MLB has rules about standardized uniforms.
This is not about “bible verses”,
it is about personalizing uniforms.
“ it’s about personalizing uniforms.”
Are you kidding?
There is nothing uniform about MLB uniforms these days.
Some players have their pants over their shoes, others above their knees.
Some have jerseys under their shirts with different colors on each arm.
Some have gold necklaces the size of tire chains.
Some wear their shirts unbuttoned at the top, others don’t.
Shoes can be any color.
Now there are advertisers on the sleeves of every uniform, plus that stupid Nike slash.
Then there’s those special caps and shoes for Mothers Day, Pride Day, two different cancer days, no. 42 day, Fathers Day, Military camo day, etc., etc.
Uniforms are anything but uniform.
Baseball is the least standardized of all the professional sports. Long pants, short pants, T-shirt, no T-shirt, long sleeves, short sleeves, custom cleats, jewelry hanging off of everywhere... I could go on. What's a bible verse with all that nonsense going on?
If the MLB alters the uniform for one game during the month (”Pride” Night), then that rule is already broken and the players have every right to FURTHER personalize their own uniform.
