The problem is with the Catholic church and its hierarchy—not its members, per se.
The non-biblical stuff the Catholic church says and does is extreme. For instance, veneration of any “saint” is not biblical, in any way.
Likewise, communion is symbolic of being that close to Jesus—not to be believed to be converted into actual blood or actual flesh, which I know you do not ingest.
