I sent Thune $100 once. He was our nominee to face Tom Daschle in ‘04. Money well spent. Along with the thank you’s and the holiday postcards of his beautiful family I got requests for more $. In my way of thinking you take a red state + incumbancy=you’re on your own pal. The next hundred bucks would go for other ‘winnable pick up’ races.
