Trying to convince people that it was just some sort of harmless multi-tool is
ridiculous. It’s obviously a deadly weapon.

Unless the killer was well practiced opening the knife, it's likely he had the blade
open and locked. Almost like he really wanted to use it.

It has a nob on the blade on it to assist with opening - you can use your thumb to flick it open with ease, in a blink.
