I decided to invest a very modest amount in SpaceX. My broker followed the process laid out by Mr. Merrit above. I submitted my "Expression of Interest" Monday morning. I liquidated other investments so the cash is available for purchase. I anticipated two phone calls from my broker, the first indicating that I have gotten shares and the second to reaffirm my interest if the share price changes from the $135 IPO price. I am not placing a market order to purchase shares when public trading starts.
I don't know if it is too late to get your Indication of Interest or Expression of Interest into your broker. I think that cut-off may have passed.
I received the 400 page prospectus document after indicating interest. It's a fascinating read.

I believe the EOI (Fidelity) or the Conditional Offer to Purchase COPT (Schwab) was ended on Wednesday late afternoon.

I cancelled my COPT submission last night.
I’ll take another look at SPCX in 6 months after all the dust has settled.

Don’t EVER buy in IPO on day 1. It is ridiculously foolish. Ask your fave AI if you need a history lesson. You always get a chance to buy lower when it dips. Facebook and Palantir followed this pattern to a T.

Wish I’d read this before today. I checked with E-Trade yesterday, and they said I was too late to buy.
