What kind of disability did he suffer to qualify him for that much disability payments? Did he lose a leg?
VA says a 100 percent disabled veteran is eligible for a disability payment of just over $3,800. Platner must be about 140 percent disabled.
Oyster farming and captaining a boat are pretty physical. How disabled could he be? I know of people who are very disabled and get less money. Other than his obvious personality defects, he appears to be in pretty good shape, and his mental defects should disqualify him for any government position.
