In the hospital I worked in ER nurses and ‘’techs’’ (’’nurses aides’’) routinely stitched wounds. No trick to it really if you're trained.

My mom used to stitch wounds when she was a medical assistant when Hector was a pup. I think this must have been more than a typical post surgery wound otherwise I don’t see why a specialist was required.

If the procedure was a knee replacement it takes several layers of stitching.
