What? Sorry, but you lost me here. The UK already HAD all of the evidence, and lied about it, anyway. And you’re saying they want this law because they want “more” evidence? Makes literally zero sense. They’ll make it up as they see fit.

To an extent, such a 'device' exists. It's called 'parents', though some devices designated as such don't function well.

IMHO kids should have very restricted internet access, and very limited time on social media. I know that for tech savvy kids there are all kinds of loopholes for getting around parental controls, but you can make it as difficult as possible for them.

Children don't need constant internet access. There should be a way that parents can remotely turn off everything but phone call use on a smartphone.
