So right. The creeps didn’t even cursorily examine him to see if he was bleeding; they just cuffed him. Haven’t read or heard of so horrible a US case.
If it’s true that a pulmonary artery was severed by a blade thrust up under the ribcage (which the killer had practiced and knew how to do), he had a small chance of survival if he had been stabbed in an ER, never mind on the street.
So, in a legal sense, the cops depraved indifference didn’t “kill him”.
