The slant 6 would go across the country with a thimble of oil in the pan
But it wasn’t a v6 it was an inline 6 slanted to the side to allow for a lower hood line

My brother drove a slant 6 dart 300 miles with push rod sticking out of the valve cover!!!Lots of smoke!!

That was a mistake typing on my part, I know it was a slanted inline six. I had a half-dozen Darts.
My favorite V-6 is the GM 3.8L.
