There was a famous 1954 HerbBlock cartoon (leftist Herbert Block the cartoonist) of Richard Nixon crawling out of a sewer. When the outraged Nixon saw it in the Washington Post he canceled the subscription so his young daughter Tricia wouldn’t see it or future ones.
