The producer of the tv series The Naked City said to an interviewer: “Remember, as we said, there are 8 million stories in New York so we aren’t afraid of running out of ideas for the series.”
So right.
I still rember Candid Camera making some reference on the show to Naked City and showing a group of naked toddlers holding hands and bouncing up and down in a circle, back ends to camera. It was funny.
Well, the times were more innocent.
Regarding the story, sounds like the girl was a prostitute and maybe there to rob him instead.
