My Mom and Dad lived in a small town that was in the process of becoming majority Mexican. They had a bunch of single Mexican men move into the house behind them. One day when I went to see them the men in the house behind them had a goat in the front yard tied to a tree. Later I saw them come out of the house, slit its throat, and then go back in the house to wait for it to die. Mom and Dad moved out of that small town I was raised in not long after that. Now that is most of California.
