That didn't take long. I knew someone who graduated from one of the "lower" UCs a dozen years ago. They majored in psychology, and they finished the Bachelor's in 3 years and a summer.

Took the math placement test upon entrance, only to find out they didn't need to take any further math. Scored just within the highest bracket, higher than the students in the dorm who were majoring in engineering and the sciences. Those guys were pissed off because they had to take an extra quarter of Calculus.

I had sort of the opposite experience. When I was a freshman they required 3 quarters of English, except the engineering students. They were only required to take 2 quarters. I was majoring in Physics and was taking exactly the same courses as the engineering students but I had to take a third quarter of English, so was stuck with taking poetry on top of my other courses.

Uh huh. And how did the other 99.99% of psych majors score on the math placement test in comparison to the STEM majors?
