They’ve always been like this. The idea is to preserve the illusion of participatory democracy. But the last thing they believe in is self-rule and self-determination. It’s all smoke and mirrors and gaslighting. “Democracy is like riding the Bus. Once you get to your destination, you get off”. It’s just the mechanism by which they intend to achieve permanent, one party rule.
The reach and influence of the “media” publishing and news outlets has waned considerably. As their iron grip control over The Narrative declines they become ever more strident and aggressive, hysterical and of course, extremely violent.
