Well if it’s the same SS that fired at the correspondents dinner suspect not hitting the perp then I can see why they needed to fire that many shots. Probably only hit him once or twice.

I would suggest that very few people could have pulled and hit the guy at the dinner. If you watch that video in real time the entire thing happens in about a second.
The thing that people learned at the dinner was that you need three or four people to pull off that kind of attack. If they were stacked and running…that could have been a real problem. (Except the doors were locked and no one was getting out of that room.)
