Because I’m at a higher risk of colon cancer, I’ve had numerous colonoscopies. I know there are risks to the procedure, but those are outweighed by the prospect of having an undetected colon cancer that has gone into later or even fatal stages. My mother resisted having a colonoscopy and subsequently died of colon cancer. Because of COVID, my usual colonoscopy was delayed by almost two years and I had four larger polyps where before I had only one. Fortunately they were removed and had not progressed to cancer. If you are over 50 or are at higher risk, get it done.

You should be doing Cologuard and they will pay every three years and you can get it between those for $695. A non ocvered colonoscopy costs thousands.
