Okay. Good to know a police officer can just pick up a stick and beat somebody with it. I missed that in my police academy class where we spent hours being trained on batons.
If you use it in the same manner as a baton it accomplishes the same task.
If you misuse a baton the same results happen.
It is how it is used not the object.
A wooden baton is just a smoothed stick.
