I no longer believe these people are addressable short of violence. They’re monsters. Any idea how viciously you have to beat somebody to draw attempted murder?
Some states have statutes that trip the attempted murder charge automatically, based on the age difference between attacker and victim. That must be the case here, I doubt if any DA in California would be charging that based on their discretion alone.
